Singapore's PM change in 2024 was huge. For one, the timing was tough as the country in the middle of an unpredictable regional and international dynamics. Two, though this change had been pre-announced for months in advance, Singapore rarely changes its PM—during its lifetime, it has only had three and Singaporeans are seen to be allergic to political changes. This paper discusses the reasons behind this transition and what will happen with Wong.
